Artist Statement:
I painted this piece when I was 16 years old. It was one of my first paintings, and even at that age I knew I wanted my art to exist for the purpose of spreading awareness about the causes I cared about. The child represents future generations, the old earth hanging in his memory, while the ghosts of wildlife break through the picture of the bleak landscape we will soon inhabit if we don’t take better care of our planet. I am honored that I can shed light on the conditions of animal life, with my work.
