This “poem painting” was my second commission of its kind. To create it, I took a poem which my client wrote to someone he cared about, and I then asked him questions about her: her likes and dislikes, personality, favorite colors, etc. Then, using this information, a photo of her, as well as the words from the poem, I constructed a painting similar to the “Illuminated Manuscripts” of centuries past.
The result was a lovely birthday gift that according to my client, brought the recipient “to tears.”
