Direct Plaster, 10″ x 4″ x 6″
One of my early works just out of college, this sculpture was initially inspired by an urge to create a sculpture similar to the Nefertiti Bust but with more Afrocentric features, but with all the other work I was doing, she ended up just being a head :). I was able to make a mould and copy of it to sell to a buyer who fell in love with her just as she was – perhaps one day I can recreate her, completed as I originally intended!
