This was one of my first paintings. I was 16 years old and concerned with the damage we human beings have been wreaking on our planet. The child represents future generations, the old earth hanging in his memory, while the ghosts of wildlife break through the picture of the bleak landscape we will soon inhabit if we don’t take better care of our planet. Yes I was an angsty teenager.
